differences a6000, a5100 and two A lens converters

Hi to all. Want to proceed purchasing a a6000 or a5100 model. Use the a700 model now and want to upgade. Want to use my A-mount lens (sony 300mm, sony 200mm, sony 70mm and a sigma 40mm). So cjhecked for the a-mount converter. However saw 2 models and I am not sure about the differences. Assume that both are compatible with the a6000 or a5100. Thanks in advance. Apostolos

Hi @atsoubris and welcome to the Community

Yes both mount adapters are compatible with an a6000 or a5100.

It seems like the biggest difference between the LA-EA3 and LA-EA4 is

that the LA-EA4 adds phase detect autofocus via a translucent mirror.

There is a note here though that says:

  • Because the LA-EA3 and LA-EA4 support 35mm full-frame sensors, the light passage on these adapters is larger than the LA-EA1 and LA-EA2, which causes vignetting.

Hope this helps
