Are your Minolta lenses autofocus? If so, are they screw driven for the AF or do they have a SSM motor in the lens?

The Sony adapter LA-EA3 will only work on Minolta lenses with their own AF motors (SSM, SAM). The LA-EA4 should work with any lens but there may be a light loss as the adapter is SLT and you may need to compensate for the half-stop loss.

To use with manual focus and manual exposure is much cheaper!!

Hi Altondp,

I've looked up the compatible lenses with your camera.  I think yours is the "AF APO 300/4 G". If yes, you'll find the right adapters you can use on the same page: https://support.d-imaging.sony.co.jp/www/cscs/lens_body/?mdl=ILCE-7RM3&area=gwt&lang=en_GB

Cheers,
