Missing photos

Can anyone help??

I have a Sony RX10M3 camera and have been using it for a wee while with my SDXC speed pro memory card. I have in the past  imported photos onto my iPad using both play memories and a camera connection kit which have worked well. 

While trying to import my most recent photos there was a problem and it has resulted in me no longer being able to see the selected photos through my photo library on my iPad and I can no longer see them when my card is in my camera- I am getting a ? Icon with Unable to display message on screen for all of the images I selected to import. They were originally able to be seen on my camera and initially showed up on my iPad import screen.

Can anyone please tell me if there is a way I can retrieve my photos??

Hi Jinty,

Are you able to see the images if you connect the camera to a computer or of you connect the memory card itself through a card reader? Are you able to see new pictures that you take after the issue started or do they also appear as a question mark?

I'd recommend (If you didn't do this yet) to try plugging the camera to a PC and to prioritize backing up the images first. It will also be helpful to check if you're able to do so through PlayMemories home. Afterwards, try formatting the card before trying your normal back up process to the iPad and keep us updated.
