What sound bar are you using with the TV?

Do you have both Optical and HDMI connected at the same time? If yes, try using just 1 at a time as using both usually introduces problems.

It's also a good idea to have both devices on the latest software version.

Hi thanks for the response, the sonos beam sound bar was connect via an optical lead to the tv and hdmi to the soundbar, thats what got the echo, I can't seem to connect it with the hdmi and the system keeps getting me to connect it via the arc port which will not allow the tv speakers to play, I only get the sound via the sound bar. I asked a Sony expert in a store who said it won't ever work perfectly if both play at once so best to stick to the sound bar only. Looks like this is my best option.

I don't own a Sonos myself so I can't confirm this, but I've seen people mentioning some way of adjusting delay for sound output on Sonos sound bars, so that's one last thing you can maybe try.

Hopefully you can have success with that.
