I bought a Samsung TV 2 years ago. A MU6102. Then bought a Soundbar from a different company. If I connect the soundbar to the TV via HDMI, the TV turns on automatically randomly.
I found out from other people that a lot of other TVs are doing the same thing, and with other devices too, not just soundbars. Apparently the HDMI is sending some sort of signal that turns the TV on.
Is this issue resolved? I'm thinking about buying a new TV but I will rule out Samsung if the issue still persists. I'm tired of taking the HDMI out every time I'm done seeing a movie just so the TV won't start by itself.
