XF9005 cant get full screen playing 4k bluray

I have a 65inch XF9005 with a new Sony 4k bluray player. The Bluray disk is 16:4.

So why cant I adjust the screen size to full screen?

The TV nor the player allows me to do it.

The TV takes over and automatically resets anything that I have tried to manually adjust.

So why advertise a 65inch 4k TV in full screen when in fact it wont go full screen?

The black bars top and bottom are really annoying and dont give off "cinematic"  experience one expects from buying a large TV and a 4K player and disk...

In feel I shouldn't have bothered with a large Sony TV.

Can you work on this and create a picture zoom function when viewing 4k disks please?

I hear that other manufacturers can do it.

16:4 = 4:1 - so it should be a rather wide aspect ratio which fills the screen from side to side but not from top to bottom.

You seem to look for an option to "zoom" the image to have it fill the screen from top to bottom and essentially cut away stuff on the left and right side - do I see that correctly?
