BDP-S185 and iPlayer

I can't get to iPlayer on my BDP-S185.

I bought the player a couple of weeks back and went through all this stuff to check it works, including a quick look at iPlayer and updating the firmware - after which it still worked.

Now I try iPlayer and all I get is that blue ... erm.. thingy... image and nothing else at all.

The only way to ge the player back is to power off, although perversely the eject button still seems to work.

This is Virgin cable, I have a linux box running myth next to the BD player that can play iPlayer just fine. (The g/f finds this overly "technical" however....)

Other network video content providers work fine, Sky news etc etc.

What gives? Not even an error message?

Same thing has happened to me. It all worked great from when i bought it (feb 2012) until yesterday (I just got back from a two week trip).

I've got the exact same blue screen thingie, and often have to turn it off at the wall. I'm with BT and all other services work great. I player working on laptop and mac.

I'll let you know if I've had any developments, and would appreciate the same in return!
