I have just installed a bdp-s790 playing via an Str-dn1040 and bowers and Wilkins mt60d speakers.
sound is great on voice, loud music or anything sourced from blu ray. however low volume background music especially from DVD is very distorted. for example closing credit music on Prometheus.
I have tried options on the receiver and am pretty sure this is linked to the bd player. the problem does not seem to occur with iPad as a source.
any comments welcome.
