Connecting projector to STR DN1080

My projector is connected to the receiver as per the Sony instructions but still have to go to HDMI settings every time the any of the devises are turned off and on again and manually Set the color space conversion for the video signal from HDMI in order to get the picture right. This is just a standard and not 4K I am watching. Any tips of how to resolve this please? Thanks!
