Connection issue to Bravia TV KDL-46HX823

Help - Looking for the recommended way to connect a Bravia TV KDL-46HX823 to an existing HT-SS1100 Sony Home Theatre System plus a Sony HXD870 DVD recorder using HDMI cables.

Currently have DVD HDMI lead connected directly to TV (via the HDMI 1) & Home Theatre to DVD via Coax ports. ( This works OK but doesn't use all the HDMI components - but connecting simply using HDMI doesn't produce an audio signal) 

Anyone have a diagram or can guide the inexperienced.

Hi,

not 100% what you did here but for playing dvd's through the home cinema HDMI out from player to tv, Digital coax from player to the HT.

if you want better sound (i have not done this for tv) but optical out from tv to your HT then go into menu pressing options then speakers and change tv speakers to audio system and try that.
