DVP-SR750H Data Error (Video)

Hello,

I recently purchased this dvd player.

However when trying to play some of the .avi files, it says Data Error (Video).It then skips that file and plays the next one that is 'playable'.I have about 6 .avi files in a dvd, it plays 2 of them and for the rest it shows this error.I checked other dvds and it gave the same problem.It plays some and gives this error for the rest.

Any help?

Are those other 2 videos, still AVI in file format? There must be a file type consistency between those which didn't play.

Yes, the extention is .avi.

I ran media info and found that:

Codec ID : DX50

Codec ID/Hint : DivX 5

Could that be a problem?Does this DVD player only support Xvid?

Or could 'Packed Bitstream' be a problem?

I checked the .avi files that run flawlessly and they had Xvid.
