external source to BDV-L800

i bought a home theater BDV-l800 and I would like to connect it to an external audio source that has as output an analog audio RCA cable or a optical audio cable.

How can I do this conection?

You can connect it from your source to the sytem using a toslink (optical audio) cable as you have already mentioned.

There should be one called 'Optical', sorry but I'm not sure what you mean?

the issue is then to select  on the  home theather the soiurce.

the choice are TV, DVD, HDM1, HDM2 and Radio

If I use the optical link which mode shall I use?

there seems to be a lot of confusion here, what exactly is this external audio soarce you wish to connect to your BDV-L800?, why are you worrying about the input on your tv?

if you have the BDV connected to your tv you will NOT need to use optical.

please explain carefully again what is is you wish to do.

If you connect your Sonos Connect to the BDV-L800 using the Optical cable then you need to select 'TV' as the source on the L800, so you need to confirm if that is working ok?

ok, connect the sonos to the BDV-L800 and thats it!, if your only listening to music thats all you need to do.
