Got a Sony Blu-Ray BDSP490 on order but don't know too much about it

Anybody got one? I know it seems a bit of an odd topic but other than the info on the website? I not finding out very much. Doesn't seem to be any reviews etc etc that I can find so far........

Well, not much to say. It's a decent Bluray Player for that price.

You can play BRD, DVD, CD & most common video and music files through the USB input

It doens't come with Wifi so either you will have to buy the Sony USB wifi dongle or go wire to enjoy the SEN (Sony Entertainment Network) platform and other Video features/channels specifics to the UK and the dlna streaming.

The video is ok & upscalling DVD is decent but not the best. Not much to say since it doesnt have much features to adjust the pictures. (You should have gone for the 790, which picture is awesome for the little price! :smileywink:)

The audio part is average. But you can enjoy SACD thanks to the HDMI that can passthrough DSD signal to an amp.
