and connect it from my DVD player to my tv and an RJ45 ethernet cable from my DVD tlayer to my router will my tv be internet enabled through the hdmi cable? basically is my tv & dvd ethernet hdmi complatible?
Thanks...

Hi
No-one as far as I know has offered up internet sharing devices yet. Note alll the reviews for the cable are simply about it being a good HDMi cable, no-one mentioning the internet connection sharing.
Out of the two devices, I would probably connect the E380 as iplayer is much better on that compared to the slightly older TV.
Hope this helps

Ok - I have the TV connected to my router at the moment as still haven't set-up my E380 and only have one free port on my router so was going to use the connection from the TV and just use the network for the E380 to stream my movies and internet etc. It was only when I loked at getting a longer hDMI cable that I saw the whole hdmi ethernet thing and assumed that i would be able to use that from my E380 to my TV and it would also transmit network so was just looking foe confirmation. So might just buy a longer cable and see what happens. Thanks for your response.
Maybe get on of these to give you more sockets behind your TV?
nice bit of kit..
