I had all the usual issues, stuttering video, video blacking out for several seconds regularly and I put up with it.
Now I got a message about a hard drive fault and looked online for help.
All the information mentioned using the front button reset, upgrading the firmware, using the factory reset, formatting the hard disk etc....
Unfortunately when I turn the device on it immediately starts scanning for channels, gives a hard disk error message and then locks up before going any further.
This means that I cannot access ANY of the menus in order to try any of the recommended fixes.
Is it possible to do anything from this position?
I really like this unit when it's working so I'd rather get it going again than replace it with something else.
