I connected my new HDT1000 to my home network via an ethernet cable. The router gives it an address and my desktop recognises the new device. I can PING the HDT, get a response but nothing more. I've got many films on my pc's harddrive and would like to copy them on the HDT1000, but how do I mount the SVR to the network and make it accessibly for data transfer ?
Weeks later .... no response. Not even from the Sony specialist. What a poor, poor sign.
So ... What is the intended use of the ethernet socket on the HDT?
