How to disable auto shut down

I have a HDX 1095 DVD recorder with the latest firmware. Since part one of the digital switch last week I lose all channels each time the recorder is powered off. The only resolution to this as far as I can see is to disable the automatic shut down but I cannot see how to do this in the manual. I have a later model Sony DVD recorder DC505 in the house and have no similar problems with it. Any advice would be welcome.

Please, use the forum also to have a look at similar problems...

In any case this is a known bug of the firmware, to solve it reset to factory setting (stop+poweroff buttons), unpluag from main for 2 minutes and than proceed with the easy setup procedure.

Afterword it will work right at least for some time (you can in any case redo the whole process anytime). By the way, I don't know what you think but my impression is that the "older" HXD is far better than the "new" DC series. I miss only the Guideplus feature!
