Muting projector speaker

I have a VPL-CH350 projector connected to a Samsung soundbar by stereo cable from the audio output socket but the built-in mono speaker competes with the soundbar - how can I mute the speaker without turning off the soundbar?

Mute it or turn the volume to zero (page 7)?

But the projector speaker should mute when the stereo jack is plugged in, so make sure this is the right size (3.5mm three section plug?) as I see there isn’t one supplied.

My favourite bedtime reading is a Sony product manual…

Thanks for the quick response.

The jack does not cut out the built-in speaker, but selecting 'Speaker Off' on the menu list did the trick this time - I'm sure when I tried this yesterday it turned off the soundbar as well, but I can't be certain what else I had been doing in trying to get the setup I wanted.
