No sound on start up - Sony BDVE880

Have a Sony BDVE880 which has been set for quick start up.  Quite regularly it will switch on with no sound, the sound is restored by switching off and on again from the remote control, but can take two attempts to resume normal operation.  Is this a known fault with the device, maybe a sign of further problems in the future.  Are there any suggested fixes? Software says that it is up to date.  Other than that system seems to be working well.  Any advise gratefully appreciated.

I suggest for you to send it back so they could either repair or replace it. Since you got this problem from the beginner, they should do something about it.
