Since the analogue switchover video recorder no longer records programmes

Since the analogue switchover our SONY DVD player/video cassette recoder SLV-D980P GI will no longer record programmes on the video cassette. We have a freeview TV. We have tried manually and by programming to record programmes. It just records a blank black screen. Does anyone know if i have to change the cable connections to record programmes?

Hi,

your video recorder is old hat now as it was analogue and since the digital switch will no longer be able to record, you will however be able to continue using to play pre recorded tapes.
