Sony Bravia XR A80J

Bought this TV back in 2021 and then randomly went out red light blinking 6 times before going out, called Sony only for them to say it is just a year out of warranty. On top of that, there are no authorized repairmen close by to fix it. Called local TV repairmen (including Best Buy) and they do not recommend even fixing the TV because it there is some issue with the panel that is not worth fixing and it is essentially "dead" due to the manufacturer and faulty panels. They recommended to just to see if Sony had any special accommodations since the warranty is only a year out. Sony has not budged and so there is not much left to do but throw out the $3,300 TV. Just like that, $3,300 out the window. What an awful warranty for something that is the manufacturer's fault I expected more from Sony. What ***** is that we have a lot of products from them including their surround sound home system, even down to the XM-4 headphones. I will never back Sony up ever again when recommending anything to friends and family. What a disappointment and awful customer service. Save yourself the trouble and do not buy any Sony products if you can avoid it.
