Hello everyone,
My first post here, and I have to divulge that I am trying to enter the AV market with some trepidation.
I have an LCDTV and a pair of decent satellite speakers, but no way of driving them. Enter the need to buy an AV Amplifier.
With little money at my disposal, I have discovered the Sony STR-DB900 S Master Digital Amplifier, as a secondhand item.
Being elderly, it's 8kg weight is attractive, but the biggest problem is that I cannot find out what exact connections it has on the rear of the unit. After all, it's 4 digital inputs and one digital output doesn't exactly tell me what they actually are.
Also, maybe because of it's diminutive size, and because so many AV Amplifiers are gargantuan beomoths that require forklifting up to my upstairs flat, I'm finding it rather difficult to believe it actually is an AV Reciever/Amplifier at all, and am beginning to doubt that this is what I require.
Can anyone help to diagnose this unit's capabilities, in the hope that, at last, it may be the very thing that I have been looking for.
(Sorry about the blue - my poor eyesight finds it easier to read).
Thanks
Jason
