Hi,
After my Sony Bravia TV recently packed in I replaced it with a Samsung UR7020 50"
Setup is as follows
SKYQ connected to TV with HMDI
PS4 connected to TV with HDMI
DZ260 connected to TV with Optical Audio cable
No matter what settings I try I cannot get true 5.1 sound to play from the DZ260 any longer. Previously whatever I watched on the TV passed the sound through to the DZ260 and played in 5.1
I realise the DZ260 is quite old now so is it just not compatible with newer TV's?
Thanks
Hi there,
We will check this and get back to you when we have more information. Some of our members may have some advice in the meantime.

This seems to relate more to the Decoding Mode you have enabled on the DZ260. I'm guessing that you have it on A.F.D. Std or Multi, try setting it to Pro Logic.
Hi,
Yes I do have it set on AFD Std.
If I set on Pro-logic I get sound from all speakers but my understanding is that this is not true 5.1 surround.
I have tried contacting Samsung and they have told me I need to connect the DZ260 to the Samsung TV via a HDMI lead but I do not think this will work as the DZ260 does not support "ARC".
Do I need to have the TV connected to the DZ260 using optical audio cable and HDMI in order to get 5.1 sound?
Thanks
