Using TDG-BR250 Glasses with VPL-VW90 Projector

The Sony 3D glasses will not work without filters fitted (they simply do not detect the 3D IR transmission from the projector). The VPL-VW90 projector is supplied with a miserly set of filters, enough for 2 BR100 glasses and 2 BR50 (child size) glasses, considering this projector costs £5500 are Sony serious that they only ever expect an audience of 2 adults and 2 children to watch? As I am sure you are all aware, the BR100 glasses are uncomfortable to wear even for 30 minutes, hence I have been experimenting with using the BR250's, all current information available says the FIL100 filters will not work with the BR250 and that BR250 glasses are incompatible with the projector, however I have found that it is possible to install the FIL100 filters on a pair of BR250 glasses, they simply tuck in between the frame and the lens the same way they attach to the BR100 glasses, the filter is slightly smaller than the BR250 lenses (about 0.5mm at both sides) but this is no issue in use, and the important bit, the BR250 glasses will now work with the projector. I have been delighted with the results and the BR250's are everything the BR100 isn't, comfortable, lightweight and rechargeable! Hope this post helps other Sony 3D fans out there.
