Settings is not opening.

In my Sony Xperia m4 aqua dual settings is not opening. When I tap the settings icon it doesn't start. Installed settings from above the notification bar but it also does not start from there. I can not open some important settings like add account, USB therering, USB debugging, reset phone. Please help me

Try restarting your phone into safe mode, can you access Settings from there?

I'd suggest that you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory. Don't forget to backup using Xperia Companion, but preferably without adding apps or settings to the backup.

Follow the steps given in blue links, and keep us updated.

I have the same problem and have gone into Safe Mode, Settings just appears unopenable with a blue icon and strange filename

thank you so much for the informations. i cannot open the settings on my xperia m4 aqua. i did the reboot to safe mode but still the same. i fix the problem using xperia companion and it's fixed! thank you so much!
