Light Effect Problems

Hi guys. Has anyone noticed, after updating to. 205, that the light effects don't work properly when the phone is locked? I have different lights for different things (I.e. Blue for text, red for missed call, white for email) and when my phone is not sleeping the light colours are correct, however when my phone is locked/sleeping, the lights for all notifications are white. Have I missed something?

well i use illumination bar app.

i disabled every lightning effect from phone setting and let illumination bar app 

do the effects that i choose for every kind on action, like text message, facebook, email....

it works flawlessy.

Glad I'm not the only one.
Thanks for the app recommendation. Shame that one of the reasons I bought the phone was its built-in light customisation and now I need an external app for it 😞 maybe it will be fixed in the next update.

I had the same problem. I think it caused by stamina, because if it is off the led notification works perfectly. Led notification apps didn't work either under stamina. If you have root access, an xposed module can solve the problem.

Ilumination bar app works flawlessly without root.And stamina mode on.
Give it a try....al least you can uninstall it if it doesn't work.

Ahhh I wondered about stamina mode 🙂

I'm using illumination bar app now and I do like it... Not too popular in an evening though so I'll feed back on it tomorrow after work

At the moment there are only two solutions to this problem, but they require root.

1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2438012 ------- me not verified performance.

2. You must install the Xposed framework and install module https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gzplanet.xposed.xperiastaminaled   ------ tested - works

Well, thanks all for the replies. I'm using the illumination bar app and I really like it. Works while on stamina mode, highly customisable, you can add apps to it as well (for instance I use the yahoo app rather than the stock email) and it's a very small app too and so doesn't eat up space.

The light timings are a little different but the customisation makes up for it. The only thing I'm not struck on is the option for empty/full battery but I'm being really picky. Thanks so much for the info!
