Hi all, bit of a long shot but has anyone else experienced issues with the KDL 40s2010 LCD TV? My parents purchased theirs in late 2006 and since then the screen has failed twice. Sony not replying to any correspondence and John Lewis believe the product has reached the end of its expected life. They paid £1695 for the TV which I know is not what they retail for now but they are being asked to spend another £400 for new screen.
When my mother eventually got through to Sony Technical Services they told her that 5 years life span was quite good now adays and they are not really meant to outlive their warranty! Bit taken aback by that comment.
I have seen a lot of issues with other models but would be interested to hear if anyone else had experienced repeated screen failure with this model.
