HI, I HAVE A QUICK QUESTION ABOUT THE DRC SETTINGS ON THE BDP S7200 AND HT CT380

WHAT IS THE BEST COMBINATION ,I ASSUME THEY BOTH NEED TO BE THE SAME,

I"M INCLINED TO LEAVE BOTH OFF

Hi there

By default it is set to 'Auto' on both devices - which i guess is the recommended settings.  If you want it off, best to set both devices to off (keep them the same)

Cheers

DRC stands for Dynamic Range Compression. I have Sony Bravia 4k TV hooked up to Sony HT-RT5 5.1 Sound system.

Basically I Have DRC OFF on both for best sound quality.

DRC will make the transitions between something like dialogue in a Movie to an explosion less prominent.

I prefer to listen to the soundtrack the way it way actually meant to be heard.

DRC is handy if you are watching movies at night and don't want to annoy your neighbours, although I have a "Night Mode" button on my HT-RT5 remote, which as far as I can see does pretty much the same thing.
