Trouble connecting Bluetooth headphones to TV

I’ve been trying to connect my WF-SP800N headphones to my KD49XH9505 TV. Annoyingly, it really seems to struggle to find the Bluetooth headphones. Even, if I place the headphones really close to the TV and let it search for at least an hour, it still doesn’t find the headphones.

Why is this the case and how could I fix this issue?
