Bravia KDL-26EX553. Sound not working on HDMI connection.

I'm connecting a laptop (new Compaq) with my Bravia via HDMI. The picture is perfect, but no sound. I have tried both HDMI connection sockets, with the same result. Solution please?

Hi there

You will need to go to the sound settings on your laptop, and enable audio over HDMI (uncheck "disable").  See screenshot below (Windows 7)
