Bravia KDL-37EX503 not switching on

Hi,

I bought a Bravia KDL-37EX503 a couple of weeks ago and have been experiencing a problem with the tv not switching on. Sometimes the tv will not come out of standby and then I have to switch it off at the mains.

Problem is that sometimes it wont come back on at all. Even after a hour or so. No red light nothing  When it does eventually come back on it all seems fine again.

Read a few post here with similar problems of standby issues but haven't found an answer for this one.

All the eco, sleep and standby settings are off. It updated itself to the latest firmware 0108 last night.

Have emailed Sony Support and waiting for a response.

Any help would be much appreciated

I am experiencing the same issue also, only had the set for about 4 days now.

Sometimes I have to power cycle twice before it comes back to life.

Did you receive any updates fron Sony?

Doesn't sound right - I'd contact your retailer and arrange for an exchange if you are within their returns period, which by the sounds of things you still are..

I'm getting this problem too.  Standby lights blinks 7 times which I know is a "Power Supply" issue, though I don't see how it can be.  My TV is plugged into it's own socket without any other devices.
