Bravia playing AAC files from network drive

I have just hooked up my bravia to my home network. It has found my WD Mybooklive and shows all the photos and all the music folders. It does not however find the files which are in AAC format (I use iTunes).

Anyone help?

I have exactly the same problem with my TV - not much help I am afraid - but if you go to this link

http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/KDL-32EX724/tips-and-solutions

and click on Which codecs are supported by the television set? then it shows that aac files are not supported over DNLA only wav, mp3 and possibly wma. I assume it is the same for your TV. Don't know why this is but looks like the only solution is to duplicate/replace tunes as mp3. Let me know if you get any further.

HEY SONY!! WHY NO ANSWER???

And yes the caps are a shout because no one seems to be listening.

I phoned and was told my network drive needs to be DLNA enabled and it is. I have movies and music I would love to play but the TV can't see it.

I was wrong about the ACC, they are MP3's, but still can't be seen.

Help please

Right Sony, I have been working on this all night,

I have updated the Twonky software on the WD drive. Now up to date

The bravia sees the Twonky server and offers a new set of folder structures.

I still get a message "There are no items to display"

Videos

I have looked at the files and most are mp4, which your site says is supported.

I have found some videos which are mpg - most definietely supported

Music

This is on the whole m4a - which may be a problem, but not a big one, when will the software update come out for the TV

Still doesn't find others that are supported.

so what next Sony .... answers please ... i am getting mightily frustrated.
