Clock on screen

How do I get the time in the corner of my Bravia TV screen?

Hi @Sandy412   Please let us know the full model number of your TV. It will start with KD. You should note that it is unlikely that modern TVs would show a clock due to image retention fears.

Hi,

The model no. is KD-75XGB796. I hope that we can get the time on the screen as we used to use it all the time on our old Sony.

Thanks

Sandy

Hi @Sandy412

As you have a modern TV you can only display the time on demand by pressing the [i+] button. If you have a voice remote you could even ask your TV “what is the time?”.  Your TV uses the same software as more expensive TVs. Whereas your screen is led, the same software is used on oled screens. If the time was permanently displayed it would burn it on the screen.

Perhaps time to buy a clock and place it next to the TV 😀

Thanks, we have now bought a clock that sits proudly in front of the TV, but I am going to write to Sony to ask them in this world of technology, could they sort a way to solve the burning out issue.

Thanks again

Sandy
