hard drives

Can anyone reccomend a portable hard drive that is compatable with a kdl46ex653 television as my seagate hard drive is not recognised when plugged in through the usb so cannot show photos from it. can anyone explain why?

HI there


Before you go out and purchase another HDD, make sure that the Seagate HDD is formatted to FAT32. Other tyoes of file systems are NOT supported. To do this, connect HDD to a PC (in this case windows), once it has detected, right-click the Seagate HDD and choose properties, and this will tell you the file system.


IF by any chance you need to re-format it, remember to back up the data that is stored on there first, as all data will be lost.

i hope it works, after Quinnicus advices, and it should be unless smth is broken, coz most of HDD are compatible with your TV. BUt if you are looking for a new sure one you can go for Sony HDD:
