Homestream not showing up as a sever on KDL-40NX723

Hi

I have installed Homestream console 2.0 on my Viao and it shows  the TV as a n active device.  However the TV is not finding the Homestream server. I have done the follwoing to no avail.

Reset the router, BT home hub 3

Factory reset the TV

gone through server diagnostics the results are PS media Server Succeeded

                                                                      Viao XXXX@XXX.com   Failed

                                                                      Vaio XXX1@XXX.com   Failed

but no Homesream.

I am now at a lost as what to do to next?

Hi there

As a suggestion:

  • Give the TV a fixed IP address
  • Ensure that you have selected the correct "profile" in the homestream status tab.
  • In the Homestream console's Status tab - Add the VIAO's network IP address to the "Bound IP address" section.

If that still fails

  • Turn TV off from the wall for 60 seconds and switch on again
  • Reboot Laptop and ensure that Homestream is running once started

Hope that helps.

Cheers

That did the trick, the 2nd option worked so easily should have tried that first!!

Excellent - Im glad it worked for you.  I really should have wrote that second option first, in a Keep It Simple approach
