I have a Bravia KDL32S3000 tv and it is setup with quite a large overscan setting. When viewing a widescreen test card it is clearly showing less picture than it should. Is there a way of adjusting the picture to correct this?
I am able to get the TV into service mode (TT--) but there is no menu item for picture geometry and none of the TT codes I have appear to reference this either (and I'm not about to mess around with these settings anyway!)
There must surely be a way to adjust picture geometry.
Just wanted to push this up the list since no one is replying.
Hi! I have a KDL-32ex723 and it suffers from a similar mismanagement of display presentation, i.e. overscan.
Annoyingly, captions are incomplete, as are credits and more importantly the rankings and telemetry are cutoff on Formula 1 racing.
I have yet to find any remedy for this. I will keep looking and post again if I find one.
I doubt I'll buy another Sony for this reason alone.
A plea to the reviewers, include an examination of this aspect of the TV receiver. Cameramen spend a lot of effort to frame a good shot only to be cropped post-production.
Come on Sony, up your game!
Hi there
Have you looked at the Screen Display settings? See Manual : HERE
Pay particular attention to Display Area > Full Pixel
And maybe Screen Format too
Cheers
