How can I upload the subtitles from a USB to play in a movie for TV KDL32EX600?

I have just purchased the Sony KDL32EX600. I tried to play a movie from a USB device, placed directly to the TV. The video played just fine, but the subtitles (although an .srt file and renamed as the movie) did not appear and I tried several things. I bought this TV for this reason and now I am very dissapointed!

Hello specialist-convergence

My experience about subtitle playback with Sony TVs is not well :smileywink:, in addition, I read many users comments here about that issue.

neither .srt subtitle nor .mkv with embedded subtile succeeded to play, meanwhile the .mkv file itself play fine

is it a codec issue built-in the firmware?

I own KDL-32CX520 and KDL-46CX520 recently.

Thanks
