kdl-32ex0703 and DNLA - what video file types can it display?

Hi

Does anyone know what kind of Video file types the

kdl-32ex0703  Bravia TV will run?

I want to connect a synologoy 215+play NAS server to the Bravia TV, and hopefulyl run KV video files.

Can the kdl-32ex0703 do that ?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi there

Just to clarrify, your TV model = KDL-32EX703

Unfortunatley this TV doesnot support many files via DLNA (see supported files below).  However, if you install Serviio through the Synology's DiskStation Manager, and enable 'transcoding' - the synology/serviio will proceess and convert the file 'on-the-fly' to play those files that are not supported.

See:

hi - thanks for the reply

yes thats the model

i know its a bit old

have had some success streaming from VUZE which is installed on my mac across the network.

But was hoping to get a NAS that I could do backups onto and keep all my video files + play from it.

I'll have a look at the link you sent me

thanks agains
