KDL 42-805 3D TV problem

I cannot get this set to display a 3D picture when I use my STR-DH800 amplifier as a HDMI hub with my 3D blu-ray player connected to it.

Removing the HDMI lead and plugging in directly to the HDMI sockets on the TV it works perfectly but I lose my ability to play DTS-HD and 7.1 discs with only 5.1 available through a optical cable.

Has anyone had this problem or do I need a 3D compatable amp? Cheers

Hi there

The above is the answer you require.  You need a AV Reciever that is capable of 3D pass-though.  Therefore you will need to connect your 3D bluray player to the TV for 3D.
