Linn Movie Classik Connection

This is my first posting and I am hoping that someone may be able to offer some advice.

We have just purchased the 55" 4K TV, we have an existing Linn Movie Classik to which our surround speakers are connected. Our aim is use the surround processing side of the Linn (we have a Sony Blu-Ray Player so really no longer need the DVD player on the Linn). We connect the Linn to the TV via scart. However, as soon as the Linn is switched on the TV sees it as Video Input. Is there a way maybe of telling the TV not recognise the Linn as as video input?

Hi there

I have had a quick look into this, and am unsure if the Classik system feeds the audio signal via SCART the other way (as in TV to Classik);  So as a suggestion:

As you are no longer using the DVD part of this system - What happens when you disconnect the SCART lead, and use an Optical cable from the TV out (Digital Optical OUT) to the Classik (Digital Optical IN)?
