Mirroring No Longer Works After Marshmallow Update

So my Samsung Galaxy Tab A auto-updated with the latest Android version, Marshmallow. Mirroring worked no problem up until this, but now the tablet fails to connect (although it sees the TV as a device). Samsung don't seem to have any answers and say talk to Sony. So any ideas which end the problem is? My TV has the latest software installed.

Hi there

I have a Sony Z4 tablet on Marshmallow and it works just fine screen mirroring to a KDL-55XD8577 TV.  I dont know what tv you have?  are you setting the tv to screen mirroring mode?

If it worked before your tablet updated, suggest try resetting the tablet.

Cheers

The TV is a KDL32W706B and I have it set to mirroring input mode (although previously it needed to be set to this mode and at other times it would connect in TV mode, Miracast seems to be tempermental). Anyway mirroring used to work so so the update has created a communication issue between tablet and TV and I'm getting the run around between Google, Samsung and Sony support. (Actually Google have ignored my request for help).
