Hi Folks,
I've had this monitor for 20 years with no problems. I'd like to keep it, but as the title suggests, it flickers on startup and cuts out. To be more specific: as the PC boots up it flickers blue and cuts out. Then (I have to turn it on again, or turn off/on before it cuts out) I get to the desktop, and the colours are dull. As the colours normalize, the entire screen flickers red, it becomes more consistant, the red screen blocks out the desktop and it loses power.
Turning off/on once or twice solved the problem. But I'd like to solve it before anything explodes and have stopped using the monitor.
If anyone knows off-hand what the failing part is, I'm wondering if I can track down a replacement.
