Motionflow Impulse mode is fantastic for gaming

I don't think I could go back to a non strobing display after using the Impulse mode on my 50W815. Hint: Please include on all future models. I'd also love to see a Sony TV in the future with a variable-rate refresh similar to Nvidia Gsync (and obviously with variable strobing).

The only issue I have currently with the Impulse mode is the light sensor doesn't seem to take into account the drop in light output so it's pretty much unusable with Impulse enabled, far too dim. I'd love to be able to use the light sensor and not having to manually set the backlight each time.

Hey there

Glad you like the features

For me, the light sensor is the first thing I switch off, and I cannot get use to the impule mode.  However its great that there are many options, as everyone likes a different setup.

Cheers

Doesn't it flicker too much and darken the image too much? That's at least the way it is on the W65x.
