REMOTE CONTROL NOT WORKING

My TV remote control for BRAVIA TV KDL-40EX403 has stopped working.  I have done the obvious - changed batteries.  When I referred to the handbook trouble shoot page under 'remote does not function' it advises  that the TV might be in SYNC mode and tells me to press SYNC MENU on the remote - I guess, the remote that is not working!!??  HELP ME PLEASE!!! The remote for my SONY DVD Recorder (RDR/DC100) gives me limited remote input.  The TV remote stopped working a few days ago but then decided to work again with no real action taken by me.  This current failure appears to be 'more permanent'.

Hi,

you should first try what the handbook suggests and see if it helps, failing that if your now out of warranty you should be able to get a replacement from below,
