Hello I have an 65E855A set and I have been looking in the spec sheets for
the TV but can not find which pins/signals are used in the TV's scart connector
and how they relate to the RCS ports on the TV.
The tv has YPbPr as RCA input-connectors however are these electrically the same
as the ones found typically in the scart connector on the TV?
Since RGB and YPbPr typically use the same 3 RCA connectors
can the TV switch between RGB and YPbPr mode using the same YPbPr connectors
the tv has on the back?.
Thanks
-Peter
Sorry Midaz, beyond my knowledge due to lack of details resources on which pins on the SCART connector. Might need to email Sony support on that one im afraid.
On a side note : its 2015. Time to ditch SCART??
Cheers
I know but some nintendo system uses YPbPr, RGB and composite so its nice to hook it up whenever
I have TV mounted on wall and since sony decided to use top-mounted connectors instead of side mounted ones,
It is impossible to plug in connectors while hanging on the wall.
I have to make some extension connections to various connectors to more easily connect devices.
It would be nice if you could escalate this and return here with info so it could be used for others
Thanks
Hey there
Done - Ive escalated this, in the hope that you get an answer. If/when you do, please post back, as you said, others may be interested to know
Cheers
Hello Quinnicus, well I received an answer from
Mostafa and he said my set does not have an RCA port
and then I havent heard from him again.
Ok so ultimately I am interested to know if
- 1 Will the Y Pb Pr RCA inputs on the back of the TV
accept both YPbPr and RGB signals on the same pins?
- 2 Will the Scart connector accept both YPbPr and RGB
on the same pins?.
It seems the TV can auto-detect either component or composite signal
on its Y input so..
There must be some specification we can look at that reveals these mechanisms.
Thanks
Hi, Can you check the model number as the one you quote does not relate to a model. i will then get you the details you require.
Sorry I was sure I wrote 65W855A hehe and thanks
Hello tennysonman, where did you go?
