Sony 50X94S Audio

Back in January I bought a 'Tech' Sofa, which had built in bluetooth speakers. My TV at the time did not support bluetooth, so I bought a bluetooth Transmitter Receiver, 2 in 1 Portable Bluetooth Wireless Adapter, which worked brilliantly.   I have now replaced that TV with a Sony XR-50X94S. I have connected the TV's bluetooth to the sofa and the volume is so low.

Does anyone know if there are any settings that will improve the bluetooth audio?

Or would purchasing one of these Bluetooth Adapters work?

The new TV doesn't have a headphone socket, so can't use the adapter that I previously bought.

Any help would be appreciated.

That appears to be a Windows device, and so will come with a Windows driver, not a driver for your TV.

i take it you can’t just turn your Bluetooth volume up?

Hi royabrown2,

Thanks for your response,  I never even read the description 🤦‍♀️.

If I play out of the TV speakers, the volume is fine at 17, however, to get to the same sort of level of volume, the bluetooth volume has to go up to 40.  Seeing as it's quite a difference,  I would hope to find a fix, otherwise I'll not be having the audio coming through my sofa speakers, which is a shame.

I don’t know if this setting, or one very like it, would affect the Bluetooth volume?

Oerhaps worth investigating, though.

So a wee update.  Sony suggested connecting to a different bluetooth source.

I have therefore now connected my Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones and as soon as they connected, the bluetooth volume shot away up to 66.

So it seems even though the TV speakers can be as low as 17, bluetooth needs to be a lot higher.

What the volume control says is not always what the volume actually is 😛
