Sony UK Bravia LCD TV handle 1080i 60Hz signals?

Can a Sony UK Bravia LCD TV (KDL-52Z4500) handle 1080i 60Hz signals, from a US camcorder for example?

It is not recomanded to use USA camera connected EU model of TV becouse of two very different systems. I did not taste it but I think that even with best cable connection it will not play video or picture properly on TV.

Just had a look in the manual and it seems you should be fine to connect.

The analogue inputs support PAL, SECAM and NTSC 3.58/4.43 and HDMI is one signal so the same should still apply. Since most games consoles also support 1080i @ 60htz, I see no problem in connecting it up.

Worse case scenario, it comes through black and white but then just pop it onto a PC, convert it to PAL and away you go. Ok that is a bit long winded but can be done.

Best thing if you have both products, give it a try and see what results you get. No harm should come to either product.
