Strange background noise in TV speakers

Hi,

Does anyone else have a weird buzzing noise coming from their TV's speakers?  Sony's first response was they weren't aware of any such issues on my Bravia KDL-40EX43B, but I had it replaced and the new TV is exactly the same.  It's like a constant yeeoww...yeeoww...yeeoww sound, even when mute is activated.  Quite annoying when you have to listen at relatively low volumes.

Yup got the same thing brought my KDL-37EX503U just a few days a go and the buzzing is there. It present as soon as the TV is switched on and when the TV is muted. Turn the screen off (via the remote) and it is gone. Looking around the net it seem like quite a common fault. I suspect that people with noisy environments are less likely to hear it. Quite disappointed with Sony as this seems to be a long term issue. Going to getting in touch with local service centre soon. Hoping a positive outcome.
