Switching on takes so long!

New tv 40" when I turn on the tv I get a blank screen for 2 minutes then the sony logo for a further 95 seconds before it goes to a channel. Have I done something wrong when setting it up?. I've checked that it's on home viewing not store not sure what else to look at, help please.

Sorry to hear that, something not right there - do a full factory recovery on the TV and take it bck to original settings. Give the call centre a quick call to let them do a troubleshoot and if that doesn't solve it, and its brand brand new ( last month or so) flag it with your retailer and get it replaced/DOA'd with another.
