Hi there,
Thought I'd try Qriocity out tonight on my BDP-S380.
Watched some trailers earlier and then loaded some money into the wallet and linked accounts etc to get going.
Rented a film and sat down to enjoy.......
No Dice, got the following error.
"This device is not enabled to play this protected content"
No amount of googling seemed to help so I ended up here, the film is in my media library and every time I go to watch it, the bandwidth test goes ok bu then as the film goes to start, the error occurs.
I've checked the parental seetings and that seems to be allowing everything.
Any ideas how I can actually watch the film I've rented??
I did have a software update earlier so I assume I'm all up to date with that.
Any help greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Justin
Same issue for me only I have a BDP-S370 and got it renting Battle Los Angeles (rented last Thursday) still yet to see it
I wouldn't mind but they take your money then make you sit through painfully slow bandwidth optimisations (which never seem to actually help) only to then tell you its protected - How about doing a quick test before taking payment and so bypassing the whole painful experience.
Hi guys - let me get one of my colleagues to look into this tomorrow - haven't come across this error before.
Thanks
Hi,
+1
same problem for me! Qriocity Germany Aug, 14th
Had rented a film yesterday: trying to continue today brought up this dedicated message!
I checked my account, tried to reenter the account, to re-link the device (BDP-S570): nothing works!
Seems to be something to be with the server: had some maintainance overnight?
Hope it will be corrected soon! NOw I have paid for a film and couldn't finish viewing it according to the rules until 48h!

Addition: Trying to rent another film leads to the result the first poster complained about: Rented a film for €6,00 !! and cannot view it: I feel deceited! The system allows for completing a transaction (renting the film, paying) and then refuses to deliver! So short after the hack again such a mess. I have to think about quiting the service: it seems to be definitely erratic!

Same problem here except I have BDP-S370 - firmware recently updated.
Have tried to top up my wallet (despite having received e-mail confirming purchase) in case that is the issue but previousy registered card and new card tried both fail to top up so not sure what's going on. Also tried resetting and relinking the device through the account login page but still no joy. All I want to do is to watch the movie, not get stressed out working out why the service is a shambles.
Just contacted support who are looking into whether it's the film or a player problem. Will let you know what they say.....
Hi all
Just a quick update - indeed this appears to be a bug which is being investigated at the moment by the Qriocity team. If you've bought content and not been able to play it back because of this issue, its worth raising a call with the support team, just so its logged that you have this specific problem in the event of needing recrediting etc
I'll update the thread as soon as I have any more info.
Thanks
Hi guys,
got the same issue with 'Battle: Los Angeles' - feed from Qriocity and getting the same 'Device not enabled' message. I've paid for the movie.
Using a SMP-N100 media box although it looks like a problem with the Qriocity service, not the device.
I'm guessing this has been a widespread issue due to some "maintenance".

Hi all
Just a small update - its being investigated as a high priority at the moment. Hopefully it should be resolved in the next 24 hours.
As soon as I hear anything else, I'll let you know
Apologies and thanks for your understanding.
Any update on this?
